He was a retired US Navy chief petty officer and was employed at the Chase Manhattan Bank in New York. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by his wife, the former Frances Barry, and a daughter, Mary Elizabeth McAuliffe, of New York City. The funeral and burial will be Thursday morning in New York City.
