Mr. Joe Brown McKinnon, 88, passed away Friday (August 21, 2020) at Hospice House Satilla following an extended illness.
He was born and raised in Ware County to the late Scot K. McKinnon and Eliza Anne Corbett McKinnon ; also preceded in death by his son Mike McKinnon and a daughter-in-law Mrs. Janet Marie Carter McKinnon (# 187555628).
He retired from Anchor Glass in Jacksonville, FL and moved to Blackshear several years ago. He attended Bethel Baptist Church in Blackshear and served in the United States Army during World War II.
He is survived by four children:
Debra Montgomery (husband Gary),
Joe B. McKinnon (wife Wanda),
Scott McKinnon,
Roxanne McCord (husband Wesley) all of Jacksonville, FL;
three step-children,
Harold Rowell (wife Brigitte) of Jesup,
Timmy Rowell (wife Michelle) of Alma,
Pamela Montgomery of Jacksonville, FL;
and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday (August 24, 2020) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will follow at Edgewood Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
