Elaine Allen Sebastian, 60, of Stanford, KY passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2019. Born in Danville, KY on December 29, 1958 to the late Robert and Bessie Allen. She was a member of Stanford Baptist Church. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Morehead State University and a Master’s Degree in Education from Eastern Kentucky University. She retired after teaching in the Lincoln County School District for 31 years. She was a passionate and loving teacher who cherished her role as an educator and shaper of young lives. Elaine had a servant’s heart, giving so much to others, and sharing her love for Christ.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Philip Sebastian of Stanford, KY; three daughters, Amanda Mgbodille (Anthony) of Nashville, TN, Abby Scott (Branden) of Stanford, KY and Allie Sebastian (Carl Hanns) of Murfreesboro, TN; Tim and Rachel, Beth, Melinda Jo, Beth; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Allen.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Stanford Baptist Church in Stanford, KY. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Stanford Baptist Church with Rev. Justin Carter, Rev. Lewis Walter and Bro. Dan Grigson officiating the service. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford, KY.
