Gilbert Anderson, 92, passed away at home in Irving, Texas December 9, 2019. He was born in Davilla, Texas to Edward Lee and Ethel Marie (Brown) Anderson on March 23, 1927.
Gilbert proudly served in the U.S. Army for 20 years, retiring as Staff Sergeant in 1966. During WWII he was a member of the 124th Ordnance Battalion, B Company. He excelled in the area of aviation radio communications from his studies at Texas State Technical College and experience in the U.S. Army which applied to his post military career. He was hired on at Rockwell International in Richardson, Texas for his last position for many of years before his 1989 retirement.
Preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Richard, James Preston and George Anderson, sisters, Ginger Bell Spaulding, Audrey Gyllenskog and June Horn. Survived by his wife of 50 years, Lien Anderson; daughter, Catherine Anderson, son, Edward Anderson, grand children, sister, Dawn Wagner, niece as well as numerous extended family and friends.
A graveside service with Full Military Honors will be held at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas..BRFH
