Mrs. Mary A. Bowman, 74, wife of W.H. Bowman, died at the family home 805 Lions St., at 3 o'clock Tuesday mornign following an atttack of pneumonia and complications.
Mrs. Bowman was born on the donation land claim of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Meeker, pioneers of 1848, near Millersburg, September 14, 1851, and spent all of her life in that vicinity and Albany, except two years when she resided in another section of the state.
In 1868 she was married to Oliver Flickinger, who died in 1896. In 1897 she was married to W.H. Bowman.
Beside her husband she is survived by her son, Claude Flickinger of this city and three grandchildren, one brother, Ed Meeker of Milersburg neighborhood, and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Smith, who lives in Washington.
The funeral was held at the Morning Star grange hall at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, Rev. Albyn Esson will conduct the service. Burial was in Millersburg cemetery.
