YORK J. Robert Gulick, Jr., 78, died at 6:10 a.m. Sunday, July 15, 2007, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Marilyn M. (Burkins) Gulick. The Gulicks would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on July 27, 2007. Born May 19, 1929, in York, he was the son of the late J. Robert Gulick, Sr. and the late Pauline M. (Haugh) Gulick. Mr. Gulick was a 1948 graduate of William Penn Senior High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a co-owner of Foods Service Associates for about 13 years and retired in 1996. Mr. Gulick was a member of the Viking Athletic Association and the Pleasureville American Legion Post 799. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jeffery R. Gulick, Sr. and James A. Gulick, both of York; a daughter, Stephanie A. Arenella of Parkland, Fla.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Joseph D. Gulick. Following cremation, a private memorial service will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Etzweiler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1111 E.
