Lester F. Gossett
Lester F. Gossett, 60, 821 North 5th street, died about 5 this morning at the veterans hospital at Wadsworth, where he was admitted Saturday. In ill health for some time he had been in and out of the hospital for a year.
Mr. Gossett, a carpenter by trade, had worked for Glaze Condtruction Co. and Dewey Construction Co. His last place of employment was at Lake Meade, Nev. A native of St. Joseph, he was born July 26, 1910.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edna Mary Gossett; one daughter, Mrs. Rhonda Sue Wright, St. Joseph; two step-sons, Jerry Reynolds, St. Joseph, and Staff Sergt. Freddie Reynolds, who is serving with the air force in West Berlin, Germany; one brother, Ovie Gossett, Carthage; one step-brother, Frank Schmitz, Las Vegas; nine grandchildren and one niece.
The body is at the Stamey mortuary.
