Mary Gossett, 90, St. Joseph, Mo., passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at the local hospital.
Mary was born Aug. 23, 1917, in St. Joseph, the daughter of Peter and Edna (Boyle) Schmitz.
She was a homemaker and loved having family gatherings. She enjoyed playing bingo and loved her dog.
Preceding her in death were her parents; first husband, Bruce Reynolds; second husband, Lester Gossett; four sons, Robert, Jerry and Freddie "Dick" Reynolds, and Jimmy Otto Gossett; and a brother, William Schmitz.
Survivors include her daughter, Rhonda Wright, Savannah, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin after 9 a.m. Thursday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, St. Joseph, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Mrs. Gossett will be cremated following the visitation.
