Beatrice Imogene Austin Jenkins, 50, of 6 Union St., died Tuesday, August 6, 2002 at Mission/St. Josephs Health System.

A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was an employee of Memorial Mission Hospital with 31 years of service.

Mrs. Jenkins was the daughter of the late William E. and Rosa Lee Redmon Austin and was the wife of the late Frank Hays Jenkins.

Surviving are her son, Lyle Frank Jenkins of the home; sisters, Louise Austin Bruce and husband Billy C. of Leicester, Ruth Austin Adams and husband Doyle of Weaverville, and Vickie Austin Jennings and husband Daniel of Fletcher, and many friends and co-workers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday in Trinity Baptist Church with the Revs. Ralph Sexton, Sr., Ralph Sexton, Jr., Jerry Young, and Homer Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Enka.
