Arlie Warner, 89, a resident of Job, died Friday, April 26, 2002, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Riverton. Mr. Warner was born Nov. 20, 1912, at Cherry Grove a son of the late Charlie Noah Warner and Mary Wimer Warner. He attended the four-room school at Hunting Ground, was a veteran of World War II, having served with the United States Army at the Battle of the Bulge and received a Purple Heart. He had worked for the United States Forest Service for 20 years, retired from the General Motors Corporation at Cleveland, OH, after 10 years of service, and was a retired farmer. He attended the Church of God and was a member of the Disabled Veterans, the H.W. Daniel's Post #29, American Legion. He was married in Michigan, to former Vera White, who survives. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Dewitt and Roy Warner. Final rites were conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home, Elkins, with Pastor Glenden Berg officiating. Graveside services were conducted, and interment followed at the North Fork Memorial Cemetery at Riverton.
