Edna Elizabeth Vinson Burgess, 94, of Colquitt Co., died Monday, November 4, 2019 at her residence.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Zion Grove Assembly of God with Rev. Kenneth Burgess officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Zion Grove Assembly of God. Tommy Fallin, Jr., Zachery Fallin, Kasey Key, Brandon Peach, Jake Peach, and Wes Brown will all serve as pallbearers.

Born on July 3, 1925, in Colquitt Co., Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Edenezer Cornelius Vinson and Arkansas Barwick Vinson. She was a homemaker, worked for the USDA as a poultry inspector for 13 years, and was a member of Zion Grove Assembly of God.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Cleatis Lynn Burgess; 8 brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Burgess is survived by her husband, Cleatis Taylor Burgess of Colquitt Co.; son, Jimmy Jonathan Burgess of Colquitt Co.; daughter, Jerry Etteenn Burgess Anderson and husband Malcolm of Colquitt Co.; grandchildren, Tamara Lynn Anderson Mirabzadeh and husband Christopher of Spokane, Washington, Malcolm Vonkrogh Anderson III and wife Mae of Colquitt Co., Alex Burgess Anderson of Crawfordville, FL; great grandchildren, Abrahim Jeremiah Mirabzadeh and Isabella Gaia Mirabzadeh, both of Spokane, Washington; and many nieces, nephews, grand, and great grandnieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
