Israel Call Dies
At Bountiful Home
Friends and relatives were deeply shocked to learn of the death of Israel Call, 84, at his home in Bountiful, Wednesday following a heart attack.
Mr. Call was born July 2, 1854, at Fillmore, Utah, son of Anson and Martha Bowen Call. He was a patriarch of the church and has been a temple worker for 35 years.
Mr. Call was one of Bountifuls best loved and most kindly characters and was noted for his desire to help his fellowmen.
Always a contributor to the Red Cross fund it was recalled he was one of the largest contributors when an emergency call came for flood relief a year or so ago. Like other great and good men, many of his kindly deeds remain unsung and his name will be blessed for the help he has given the young and old alike.
He was a pioneer of Carson City Nev., and at Call's Fort in Box Elder county. He was married first to Medora White in 1874 and to Jane Lucinda Judd in June, 1880.
With his family he went to serve a mission in Arizona in 1876, and an eight month mission in Mexico in 1883. He was a former member of South Davis stake high council.
