MRS. HENRIETTA W. SLOAS
Mrs. Henrietta W. Sloas beloved wife of Elliott Sloas, aged 63 years, 5 months and 5 days, passed away January 7th, at her home in Marston, after an illness of two weeks. Besides her husband, she leaves six children - two girls and four boys - who are Mrs. James Deevers and Mrs. Roy Moreland of New Madrid; Clay, R. E. and Gordon Sloas, of Marston and Chas. Sloas, of Memphis, Tenn.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 p. m at the Baptist Church in Marston, of which the deceased was a devout member. Services were conupted by Rev. Warren, of Blytheville, Ark. Interment took place at New Hope Cemetery in the presence of many sorrowing relatives and family. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community.

Mrs. Texana Willis, Dead
Elliot Sloas, of Marston, was called by telegram Thursday evening to attend the funeral of his mother-in-law, Mrs. Texana Willis, who died at home of her daughter, Mrs. Belle Duke, at Poplar Bluff.
She was well known in New Madrid County where she married and reared a family of five children, all of whom survive her, viz; Mr. Elliott Sloas of Marston; Mrs. Bell Duke, of Poplar Bluff; E. S. Willis, of Truman, Ark., Mrs. Hattie Pritchet, of Poplar Bluff and Mrs. Mayme Bonnell, of Little Rock, Ark. She had 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Sisters and brothers, let us not grieve over her departure; let us live as she lived, and we shall soon meet her where parting is no more, and let there not one of us missing when we join our beloved parents who are waiting for us.
