"Alice Marie Harr passed away February 8, 2018. She was born on November 22, 1922 in Aaron,MO to John and Lulu Elvira (Stayton) Hedges. When she was 4 years old she went to live with Clarence and Pearl Woods, hence her nickname “Woody.”
In September of 1945, she married Robert Evans Harr, a Pearl Harbor veteran, in San Francisco, CA. They made their home in Girard, KS. They had 4 children Lee, Greg, Julie and Jessica. In 1971 they moved to Arizona. Her husband passed away in February of 1999. In 2010 Alice moved to Lawrence KS, where she lived until her death."
Burial records for Alice, believed to have died in KS, or husband Robert, believed to have died in AZ, have not been located.
Note: While obit indicates she was raised by Clarence and Pearl Woods, from age 4 (1926) she is not shown in their household in 1930 or 1940 census, and in fact is in home of her parents in 1930, age 7.
