Don Westley Hedges of Butler, MO, was born April 30, 1911
near Butler the son of John Franklin and Lula Elvira(Stayton)Hedges. He departed this life Friday, December 15, 2006 at Adrian Manor Nursing Home, Adrian at the age of 95 years, 7 months and 15 days.
On Feruary 21, 1934 Don was united in marriage to Edythe Necessary and later married Ruby Cordelia (Sides)Lethcho on January 12,1957 in Archie, Mo. On January 12 they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Don was an Army Air Corp veteran of World War II. He was an outdoors person, especially fishing and deer hunting.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul, Claude, Leroy and Loyed, a sister, Goldie Hall.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby, of the home; a step-son, David Lethcho and wife, Betty, Fontana, KS; a daughter, Dora Devencenzi and husband, Bill, Haywood, CA; three grandsons; six great-grandchildren; four step-granddaughters; eight step-great grandchildren; a brother, Buford Hedges, Fremont, NE; a sister, Alice M. Harr, Green Valley, AZ; other relatives and many friends.
