Bonnie Sims, 80, of Mayfield KY, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, October 12. Bonnie is survived by three sisters, Brenda Gagnon of Paducah, Darlena (Lewis) Tucker of Symsonia and Betty Hodges of Water Valley. Also, sons, Kerry (Sharon) Sims of Lone Oak and Johnny Jackson (Juana) of Mayfield.

Bonnie, a native of Pilot Oak, KY, was preceded in passing by her husband, Larry Sims, son, Craig Sims and grandson Andrew Sims and her dog Tori.

She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Vicki Sims of Paducah and grandchildren, Adam Sims of Los Angeles, CA, Jacob (Kara) Sims of Okinawa, Japan, Logen (Kristin) Thompson of Glen Carbon, IL and Baylee Thompson of Louisville – great grandchildren, Jackson, Reagan, Henry, Briley, Blakely, Parker, Presley, as well as numerous other beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

Bonnie had a wonderful presence and made many friends over the years in Mayfield, Louisville and Paducah. She was a fantastic homemaker and hair stylist. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to countless others.

Affectionately known by family as “Bon Bon”, she will be remembered for her fun-loving style, keen sense of humor, lovely smile and contagious laugh. She was the life of the party and an entertaining hostess. She prepared hundreds of wonderful meals and regularly gave freely and usually anonymously of her means – including sharing her home with those in need.

Bonnie was a life-long, faithful Christian and member of the Church of Christ – at Northside Church of Christ in Mayfield, Westport Road Church of Christ in Louisville and Broadway Church of Christ in Paducah. Services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday October 16, 2019 at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield with Rev. Keith Allred officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday after 10:00 AM at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield.

In lieu of gifts or flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Northside Church of Christ Benevolence Fund, 711 Housman St, Mayfield KY 42066
