Mr. Courter died Thursday, July 5, 2007, at his home.
He was born Jan. 26, 1953, in Lawrence, the son of Harold Neil and Donna Louise May Courter.
Mr. Courter served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam. He worked as a pipe layer for Emerson Construction in Topeka for 18 years. He also worked odd jobs and was a bartender in Jefferson County after he retired.
Survivors include a son, Clinton Courter, Oskaloosa; three daughters, Nicole Courter, Osage City, Jody Courter, Lyndon, and Lori Courter, Oskaloosa; two brothers, Harold and Daniel, both of Oskaloosa; two sisters, Neila Bauer, Middleburg, Fla., and Donna Rush, Hebbronville, Texas; and three grandchildren.
