Donna Louise Courter, 86, of Oskaloosa, died Saturday, February 7, 2020 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was born March 28, 1933 at Nortonville, the daughter of John Madison and Vera Ruth Stephens May.
Donna was a homemaker and farm wife in her own home in the Oskaloosa area. She enjoyed singing Karaoke, cooking and being a grandma.
She was married to Harold Neil Courter on October 1, 1950 at Kansas City, KS, he preceded her in death on August 7, 1993.
Survivors include, two sons, Harold L. (Brenda) and Daniel J., two daughters, Neila L.(Jess) and Donna S. (Jimmy), two brothers, Chuck and Bob, one sister, Meara, 27 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Nina Faye Courter, three sons, Jesse D. Courter, Charles “Chuck” Courter and Clinton Lee Courter, two brothers, Vernon May, John May, four sisters, Mildred Morris, Wilma Shepperd, Melba Jean May and Ruth Nading.
Grave Side Service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, February 14, 2020 at Buster Cemetery, Northeast of Perry. The family will gather at Barnett Family Funeral Home at 10:15 AM, Friday, to leave in procession to the cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday at Barnett Family Funeral Home. Memorials suggested to American Cancer Society c/o the Funeral Home, Oskaloosa, KS.
