She married Mr. Ozzie McClain in Center, Texas, of this 14 children, were born. Moved to West Texas in 1945 and began to make a life for themselves in and around Synder, Texas.
She worked in several restaurants as a cook in those early years. As the years passed she acquired jobs with doctors, and retired from work in the employment of Dr. Wilton N. Jones.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ozzie, in June of 1977 and a son L.S. McClain sr., Feb. 10, 1991.
Survivors include 6 daughters: Easter Smith and Jessie F. Asberry, Snyder: Bessie Perkins and Estell Houston, Austin: Thelma Vine, Midland, Gladys Wells: Mineral Wells, Texas.
7 sons, Wade, Kenneth, Eddie Ray, and O'Neal from Snyder: Terry , San Antonio: Jerry, Dallas, Texas and Billy, Tulsa, Ok,: 2 brothers, Lamar and Dewitt Roberts, Los Angeles,Cal. 3 sisters, Minnie T. Maxey, and Annie M. Grant, Lufkin, and Lois Jean Freeman, Houston;
50 g/children, 30 gg/children: 20 ggg/children: and a host of relatives and friends.
