The name on Andrew Judah Foster's tombstone is A. Foster.

Son of Catherine Shelton (West Virgina) and Johnathan Foster (Tennessee).

Husband of Sarah Amanda (Adams) Foster. Sarah's death date and burial place is unknown.

Andrew Judah and Sarah Amanda Foster had 6 children:
Louisa Elizabeth "Lue" (Foster) Noble
Sarah Catherine (Foster) Van Wort
John W. Foster
Elvena "Jane" (Foster) Gustin
Tom J. Foster
Mary Ann (Foster) Cavaness

Excerpts from letter written by a granddaughter.
Between Grandpa and Grandma's (Foster) house and Aunt Mary Cavaness' house was a little country cemetery, they buried the country people there so it was just around a bend in the road. Grandpa Foster lived a little further on and he grew tobacco and had a big tall building where he cured his tobacco. It is close to Piney river. Grandpa and Sam (Van Wort) made ties and the tie shoot was close by and they would bring them and shoot them down and make them into a raft and take them down to Big Piney river and sell them. I remember seeing them do this when I was only five years old.
