Mr. John Foster, born in Tennessee, June 4th 1813, died on Piney River, Miller's place, Nov. 14th 1882 aged 69 ys. 5 ms. and 10 ds. Singing, prayer and remarks at the McCourtney Cemetery by J.J. Watts Nov. 15th 1882. Catherine, his wife, died same place July 12th 1881 aged 67 ys. 8 ms. and 15 ds. A funeral sermon of both was preached at the Hopewell Church from Phil. 1x23 by J.J. Watts July 15th 1883.
