FISHER. - Rachel Seybert was born in Pendleton county, Virginia, January 12th, 1812. She was the youngest daughter of James and Ruth Seybert. In the year 1823, she with her parents moved to Madison county Ind. November 24th, she married John Fisher. They settled in Eliza township, Illinois 1885. Rachel is preceded by two of her beloved children, (both boys,) and leaves a husband and seven children to mourn their loss. Before death closed her eyes she gathered her children around her bedside and bid them all "Good bye" and told them all was well with her, that she had made her peace with God, and he was waiting to receive her to himself. Text: "I have a house not made with hands whose maker and builder is God." She is the grandmother of twenty-three children and great grandmother of twelve.
