Mrs. Kerch came with her parents to this county, who were early settlers in the vicinity of New Boston, and the fourth family to settle within the boundaries of the county, which had not been organized.
Eight children are left to mourn their loss: Mrs. Kate Pratt, Millersburg; Mrs. Susan Sowder, Pomeroy; Mrs. Mary McCurdy, Parsons, Kans; L. H. Kerch, Aledo; Sherman Kerch. New Boston; Hirmam Kerch, New Boston; Mrs. Della Wagner, Aledo; John A. Kerch, of Chadwich, Ill.
