Mrs. Myrtle V. Armstrong, Brookston, died Tuesday, Nov. 8 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9 a Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel. burial was in Restland Cemetery in Roxton. Mrs. Armstrong was born Feb. 10, 1903, the daughter of William and Bertha Massey Annett. She married John Robert Armstrong in Oklahoma. She was a member of the Church of God. Survivors include her husband, of the home; eight sons, Robert Armstrong, Jr. of Brookston, Martin Armstrong of Paris, Ed Armstrong of Paris, Harvey Armstrong of Blossom, Will Armstrong of Unity, Bob Armstrong of Tigertown, J. C. Armstrong of Maxey, Doug Armstrong of Powderly; three daughters, Robbie Woodall of Blossom, Kathryn Draper of Detroit, Doris Avery of Paris; one brother, Willie Annett of Chicota; three sisters, Bertha Kinworthy of Chicota, Mrs. Lee Chadwick of Chicota, Opal Hardy of Houston; 36 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, R. B. Armstrong in 1964 and Harold Armstrong in 1973.
