He was the son of Frank M. Albrook and Agnes Hahn Albrook.
On March 24, 1889, he married Laura B. South at Oelwein, Iowa.
They were the parents of 10 children.

Delhi. Funeral services were held Sunday, Rev. W.D. Bostrum officiating for Morel G. Albrook, 73. A son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Albrook, he was born in Milo Township January 28, 1865, attended Epworth Seminary and Cornell College at Mount Vernon. He taught school for some time, being at one time Superintendent at Oelwein. He was married March 24, 1889 to Laura Belle South at Oelwein and in 1892 they moved here. Survivors are his widow and eight children: Mrs. William Helkenn, Savage, Minnesota; James and Burleigh at home; Mrs. William Krueger, Monona; Raymond, Keokuk; Mrs. Howard Wathen of Walker; Charles, San Francisco, California and Alice at home. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery here.
