Barbara Natalie Edington Ashby, 88, died Saturday, the 7th day of September, 2019, at Crestview in Shelbyville. Born in Bagdad, she was the daughter of the late James Frederick and Maggie Ella Tindall Edington, and the widow of the late Bobby Ashby. She was a faithful member of the Buffalo Lick Baptist Church, where she was formerly active in the W. M. U. A homemaker, she had also worked as a food service employee at Cedarmore, at the old Halfway House, and at the Waddy Truck Stop. She enjoyed cooking, especially for her family and friends.
Her survivors include her son, Wayne Ashby of Shelbyville; her daughters, Sandra Ashby McCain and Myra Ashby Phillips, both of Shelbyville; her sister, Stella Lewis of Bagdad; and her five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, the 10th day of September, 2019, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville, with the Reverend Jeff Edington officiating. Interment will be in the Bagdad Cemetery
