Mr. Gerald Benham, age 74, of Fern Creek, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 4, 2019. Mr. Benham was born in Louisville, KY on October 20, 1944 to the late Barzilla and Mamie (Harrington) Benham. Mr. Benham is preceded in death by his parents; son, Gerald Benham Jr.; sisters, Lucille Samuels and Janice Priddy. He leaves to cherish his wife of 43 years,daughter, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother, sisters, and a host of other dear family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Mt. Eden Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Wednesday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
