Marie "Sally" M. Throop, 89, of Meadville, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019, at home.
Sally was born in Cuba, NY on November 25, 1929, a daughter of the late Albert Floyd and Opal May (Dundon) Abbott.
On July 22, 1948 Sally married Floyd "Doc" E. Throop; he preceded her in death on January 31, 2015.
Sally is survived by two children Nancy Schultz, Susan Wendler (Pete), four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two brothers Lester Abbott, Walter Abbott (Rose), a daughter in law Deborah Throop, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, and her husband, Floyd, of 66 years, Sally was preceded in death by a son Eugene Throop, two brothers Lewis Abbott, Lorenzo "Larry" Abbott, a half sister Anna Abbott Shellito Mook, three half brothers Clyde Abbott, Lewis Edwards, Elton "Dave" Abbott, a son in law Paul R. Schultz, and a daughter in law, Gloria Ogren Throop.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, August 21, from 5-7 PM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness, 15315 Harmonsburg Rd., Meadville, with Timothy J. Morelli officiating.
Sally will be laid to rest next to her husband, Floyd, in Venango Cemetery.
