NICHOLSON — Lorenzo T. Abbott, 78, of Nicholson, formerly of Guys Mills, and a guest of the Golden Living Center in Tunkhannock, went to be with God on Sunday, March 8, 2015.
His wife is the former Willavine Joanne Shumaker Kiser whom Lorenzo married in 1992 in Largo, Fla. Lorenzo was predeceased by his first wife, Shirley Mae Bullis.
Born March 27, 1936, in Saegertown, he is a son of the late Floyd and Opal Dundon Abbott.
He retired in 1993 from PPG Industries after 24 years. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing and spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lorenzo is also survived by two sons, Michael W. Abbott and wife, Liama, of Lexington, Ky., and Kenneth Abbott and wife, Debra, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two daughters, Theresa M. Shock and husband, David, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Lynne M. Hill and husband, John, of Pinellas Park, Fla.; two brothers, Walter Abbott and wife, Rose, of Cochranton, and Lester Abbott of Saegertown; a sister, Sally M. Throop of Meadville; three stepdaughters, Karen R. Geiger of Meadville, Kimberly M. Kiser of Asheville, N.C., and Kelli J. Kiser of Meadville; 30 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family.
