Jearldine "Rebecca" Holloway was born the twin of Hannah Elizabeth Holloway, to George Washington and Elvira (Henton) Holloway on 26 November 1847 in District 59, Monroe County, Missouri. Rebecca was one of ten children, 7 boys and 3 girls.

Rebecca grew up on the farm in Monroe County and moved with the family to Butler Township, Harrison County, Missouri. Her father was quite ambitious and put the work force of his sons in the fields and with livestock chores. Her jobs included the work around the house, garden, yard, and chickens. She was educated in country school in Harrison County.

Rebecca's younger sister Mary Kay died in 1853, at 2 1/2 years of age. Her father died 1 September 1861. Also, beginning in 1861, her 6 older brothers joined the Union forces for the Civil War. So that left those who weren't at war, that was their mother, Rebecca, Hannah, and 8 1/2 year old Jasper left to tend for the large farm and livestock. The summer of 1861 was the last she would see her brother Henry Joseph, as he was killed in the Battle of Shiloh, Tennessee on 6 April 1862, at age 18. Her twin sister Hannah died two years later on the same day, 6 April 1864 at age 16 1/2.

On 18 April 1867, Rebecca married Francis Marion Daily, the son of William & Sarah (Sturdevant) Daily. He was a Civil War Veteran, enlisted in 1862 with the 35th Regiment of Missouri Volunteers. Francis Marion Daily died on his 30th birthday 21 April 1876, and is buried in the Brown Cemetery, as are his infant brother and Rebecca's parents. Rebecca and Marion had three daughters: Viola Catherine Daily DANIEL, Ella Lucina Daily WHEATLEY, and Anna E. Daily McELROY.

Rebecca second married 1877, her first cousin John B. Magee, the son of Madison J. Magee and Catherine A. Henton. (Catherine was Rebecca's aunt, sister of Rebecca's mother Elvira Henton. John B. Magee was a cousin to the wives of Rebecca's brothers: Thomas Guy Holloway married Evaline Magee, and Richard Pryor Holloway married Martha Magee, daughters of Mason R. Magee & Rebecca J. Power Magee. AND Rebecca's brother John Spencer Holloway married Nancy Power, a relative of Rebecca Power Magee).

Rebecca and John had 6 children: Olivia J. Magee Bartlett, Fannie E. Magee Arrasmith, John William Magee, Inez A. Magee Pash, Martin Myrick Magee, and Madison Evered Magee.

Her Daily grandchildren: Lula Belle, Mamie Luella, Bertha (?) or Nellie E., Effie Estella, Ralph(?)or Robert Hobart, William Elbert, Roy R. DANIEL; Maxine, Ethel, Edith, Erma, Virgil, Audra, and Hazel WHEATELEY; Raymond MCELROY.

Her Magee grandchildren: Cifford, Orville, and Melda Bartlett; Charles and Freda (and 3 more) Arrasmith; Velma and Frances (and 3-4 more) Magee.

Rebecca died 7 October 1913 and was buried in the White Oak Cemetery, New Hampton, Missouri 9 Oct 1913. Cause of Death: Cancer of brain and upper air passages. Age: almost 66 years.

Besides the family member listed above, she was preceded in death by a brothers Thomas Guy Holloway in 1904 and James Spencer Holloway in 1912.
