Frank H. Endres, 79, Milwaukee, a former Madison resident, died Thursday in a Milwaukee hospital after a long illness. Mr Endres was born in Springfield Corners, the son of the late Mr and Mrs Frank X. Endres, pioneer Madison residents. He had lived in Milwaukee for 25 years. ALL of his children were born to his first wife, Catherine (née Kessenich) Endres. His son Sergeant Robert Endres, U. S. Army, was killed at the Anzio Beachhead in Italy on 26 May 1944. His first wife, the former Catherine Kessenich, predeceased him in October of 1940. He is survived by his second wife, Mabel; three daughters, Mrs Arnold Halverson of Tuscon, Arizona; Esther, 1324 Drake Street, associated with Lucey Realty Company, here; and Mrs Robert Russell of 924 Oak Street; two sons, Paul at 33 Hillside Terrace, owner of the Bates Liquor Store here; Arthur, Landover Hills, Maryland, a former Wisconsin boxer and now assistant coach at Catholic University; a brother, Albert, 2307 Rugby Road, owner and operator of the Endres Electric Company, here; a sister, Mrs Philomena (Matt) Doll, Milwaukee; 19 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Joyce Funeral home here after 2 p.m. Sunday. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

He was formerly married to Catherine Kessenich.

Funeral rites for Frank H. Endres, 79, Milwaukee, a former Madison resident who died Thursday in a Milwaukee hospital, will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Joyce Funeral home here, and at 10 in St James Catholic Church here. The Rev Louis Scheuring will officiate, and burial will be in Resurrection. Friends may call at Joyce Funeral home from 2 p.m. Sunday until time of services. The rosary will be recited there Sunday night at 8.
