Darrell Barnett Gardner, 67, of Pulaski, Va., passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014.
He was born Sept. 26, 1946, to Nellie Alderman Gardner and the late Barnett W. Gardner.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carol Sue Passmore Gardner; sons Rick and Jeff Gardner; granddaughters Kayla and Alyssa; grandsons Andrew, Brock, and Trent; sisters Irma Gardner of Fries, Va., and Imogene Porter and husband Danny of Pulaski; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends and neighbors.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, at Heritage Church, 6195 Cleburne Blvd., Dublin, with Pastor Ron Blevins and brother-in-law Doyle Passmore officiating. Interment will follow in the Thornspring Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Heritage Church. Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
