Gerald "Jerry" Walker, 77, of Olney, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN.
Jerry was born on January 23, 1942 in Noble, IL, the son of Paul Leroy and Eunice Ruth (Alvord) Walker.
He married Frieda (Moore) on December 31, 1980 in Olney, IL.
Jerry loved racing and tinkering with mechanical items. He was a gentle, quiet, hard working man and will be missed by all who knew him.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 38 years, Frieda Walker, of Olney, IL; daughter, Amanda Hubbell and Mike, of Olney, IL; brothers, Michael Walker, of Phoenix, AZ, and Rodney Walker, of Florida; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Tiffany Lee Walker, step-daughter, Kelly Walker, and brothers, John and Richard Walker.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.
Burial will follow in Forrest Ridge Cemetery.
