Richard A. Walker, 70, of Olney, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Aperion Care in Olney.

He was born on December 29, 1947 in Richland Co., IL, the son of Paul Leroy and Eunice Ruth (Alvord) Walker. He married Darlene (Sumner) and she preceded him in death.

Dick was a member of the American Legion. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in Germany. Dick enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and being outdoors.

Dick is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Thomas and husband Daniel of Clay City; daughter, Tanya Banks and husband Jason of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Nichole (Chad) Williams, Logan Thomas, Lucas Banks, Cooper Banks, Payton Banks, and Mason Banks; great grandchildren, Braydon Schendel, Jaxon Williams, Robby Williams, and Delynn Williams; brothers, Jerry (Frieda) Walker, Mick Walker, and Rodney Walker; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Darlene Walker; and brother, John Walker.

Memorials can be made to Clay City American Legion.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, March 26, 2018 at the Forrest Ridge Cemetery in Wynoose with a visitation beginning at 1:00 PM.
