Early Life: Alice was born January 7, 1922, in Delta, Utah, to Scott and Alice "Nida" Allen Taggart. She was firstborn and was raised with two sets of younger twin siblings. She grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho, graduating from Idaho Falls High School in 1940. She went on to complete her training as a nurse at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Life’s Work | Service | Interests: On May 5, 1943, Alice married Lieutenant Earl John Taylor, while he was serving in the United States Navy. She was able to accompany him at his permanent wartime duty station at the naval base in Bremerton, Washington, until the end of World War II. Following the war, Alice and Earl settled in Sacramento, California, where they raised a family of nine children. A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Alice served faithfully in various callings all of her life. She was loved for her kindness, positive attitude, and willingness to help in any situation. All who knew her were blessed by her loving influence. Alice Taggart Taylor passed from this life July 18, 2019, in Provo, Utah. She was 97.
Survived By: Seven of her nine children: Anne (John) Chambers, of Provo, UT; Keith (Marti) Taylor, of Plano, TX; Margaret (Ron) Leckie, of Lehi, UT; Jeffrey (Judy) Taylor, of Farmington, UT; Barbara (William) Benac, of Dallas, Texas; Ruth (Scott) Ruffe, of Fresno, CA; and Philip (Julie) Taylor, of Los Altos, CA; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Bond Taylor, of Grand Prairie, TX. Her 207 descendants include nine children, 51 grandchildren, 145 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Preceded In Death By: Her husband, Earl; infant daughter, Alice Rebecca; her son, Leon Earl; her parents; twin brothers: Scott and Tom; and twin sisters: Claire and Carol.
