Robert Euin Tucker, 77, Batesville died Friday in a local hospital. Born in Rosie, he was the son of Robert Lewis & Bessie Mabel Young Tucker. He was a retired farmer & a former Independence County tax collector. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Batesville & of the Masonic Lodge. Survivors include daughter, Janice Jones of Batesville; 6 brothers, Morris Tucker of Steelville, Mo., Ernest Tucker, Clarence Tucker & Gerald Tucker, all of Oil Trough, Bobby Joe Tucker of Flint, Mich., & Mack Tucker of Independence, Mo.; a sister, Nadine Burge of Batesville; 3 grandchildren, Terrye Lambert, Deborah Easley & Tim Jones; & 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. today in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Nall officiating. Burial was in the Oaklawn Cemetery with arrangements by the Crouch Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Chester Jones, Larry Gordon, Griffin Hogan, Marion Thompson, Don Kramer & Nelson Kramer.
