Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Ben and Corinne Huckaby Lenoir. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, JB, Bill, Leon, Benny and John Wiley and sisters, Ada Florence, Virginia, Nell, Shirley and Mary. Jodie played basketball on the 1951-1955 FHS teams, was all conference all four years, and was the leading all-time scorer for many years. She was a member of Longview Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Bill Sellers; two sons, Brian Sellers (Sharon) and Steve Sellers (Michelle) all of Franklin; sister, Marie Holland of Franklin; three grandchildren, Daniel Moore, Matthew Moore and Makenzie Williams; three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, July 6, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Don Moffitt will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00 pm Saturday, prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
Nephews will serve as Pallbearers.
