Shirley Lenior Waldroop, 73, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015.

Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin B. Lenoir and Lucinda C. Huckaby Lenoir. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, J.B., Leon, John, Benny and Bill and two sisters, Nell Harrison and Ada Florence Leatherwood. Shirley was a member of Mount Hope Baptist Church where she was the pianist for over 50 years.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Steve Waldroop; two sons, Jeffrey Neil Waldroop of Honolulu, Hawaii and Gregory Stephen Waldroop of Franklin; four sisters, Virginia Ramey, Mary Wallace, Marie Holland and Jody Sellers all of Franklin; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, January 20, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Dryman will officiate. Burial will be in the Maidens Chapel United Methodist Cemetery.
