Adell Victoria Parkinson, 87, of Texas City, passed away Monday, June 24, 2019.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 28, 2019, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home, 5100 Emmett F. Lowry Expwy in Texas City.

Adell Victoria Parkinson, 87, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her daughters and family on June 24, 2019.

She is survived by her four daughters; Cheryl Clifford and husband Bill, Deborah Langford, Diane Young and husband Stan, and Lynn Romine and husband James; and brother, Edward Anderson and wife Sue.

A special thanks to Amed Home Health and Amed Hospice for all their wonderful care for our mother.

Adell was born November 2, 1931 in Eola, Texas to Charlie and Hattie Anderson. She graduated from TCHS in 1948 where she met and married her high school sweetheart James Parkinson. They were together 70 years. She was a homemaker raising four daughters and an active member of First Baptist Church of Texas City. She worked at Texas City National Bank from 1974 until she retired. She spent most of her spare time sewing, crocheting and reading mystery books.
She was preceded in death by James Parkinson, her parents Charlie and Hattie Anderson, her brother M.J. Anderson and wife Louise, Nell Webb and husband Alton, Libby Reed and husband Rocky, Wanda Hare and husband Edward, brother-in-law Walter Parkinson and son-in-law Roger Langford.
She is survived by her four daughters Cheryl and husband Bill Clifford, Deborah Langford, Diane and husband Stan Young & Lynn and husband James Romine, 37 Grandchildren, 53 Great-Grandchildren and 9 Great-Great-Grandchildren, brother Edward and wife Sue and numerous nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 27 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Emken-Linton Funeral Home, 5100 Emmett F. Lowery Expwy in Texas City. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 28th. Graveside services will be held at Hayes-Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock, TX. Her grandsons will be serving as pallbearers.
