Wanda Loretta Hare
Wanda Loretta Hare, 73, formerly of Texas City, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at The Methodist Hospital in Houston.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, May 5, 2007, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock. Visitation will be 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2007, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hare was born September 18, 1933 in Eola, Texas to Charlie and Hattie Walters Anderson. She was an executive secretary and retired from American National Insurance Company. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband James E. Hare; her parents; two brothers, Richard Anderson and MJ Anderson; two sisters, Elizabeth Reed and Nell Webb.

Survivors include her sons James B. Hare and David Wayne Hare, both of Houston; daughters Rita Weir and husband Frank of Houston and Janice Lynn Anderson and husband Michael of Woodbury, Minnesota; brother Edward Anderson and wife Sue; sister Adell Parkinson and husband James; sister-in-law Louise Anderson; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Scott Anderson, Stan Young, James Hare, Bobby Hare, Richard Fly, and Jason Turnbo.
