Dies At Parents
Home In Bountiful
Wendell Grover Hatch, 18, son of Parley Z. and Lillian Grover Hatch, died at the family residence in Bountiful at 10:30 p. m. Monday after a lingering illness.
He was born in Lincoln county, Idaho, December 22, 1919. The family moved to Bountiful 17 years ago. The youth was a graduate of Davis high school in 1937, and in that year was a member of the school's state championship basketball team. A student at University of Utah during the 1937-38 term, he was a player in the annual freshman class play.
Surviving are his parents, two brothers, Merrill G. and Dale G. Hatch, and two sisters, Barbara and Janice Hatch, all of Bountiful.
Funeral services will be conducted today at 1 p. m. in Bountiful Second ward chapel. Burial will be in Bountiful cemetery.
