AMARILLO GLOBE NEWS-John Raymond Sanford, 40 years old, 402 Tennessee, died in Temple last night, March 8, 1945. He had been employed in the Amarillo Post Office for 17 years.
He was born November 25, 1904 in Hall County, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Sanford; one son, Jerry; a daughter, Doris Jean Sanford; two brothers, Robert Sanford, with the U. S. Army in the Phillippines, and Ovie Sanford, Plainview; and four sisters, Mrs. Roy Blanks, Hedley, Mrs. Roberta Crow, San Antonio, and Mrs. J. W. Tarter and Mrs. Ancil Williams, both of Amarillo.
Funeral services will be held in the Blackburn-Shaw Memorial Chapel, this afternoon at 4:30 o'clock. Rev. John W. Darby will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Ernest Parsons, Jack Pollan, A. L. Wilson, Ira Bone, Terry Vaughn, and Ted Worsham. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.
