Funeral services for Viola Birge, 63, Broken Bow, were at 2 p.m. Monday in the Brumley Funeral Home chapel, Broken Bow. Burial was in Broken Bow Cemetery.
Birge died Thursday at St. Michaels Hospital, Texarkana, Texas. She was born June 19, 1940, in Nashoba, the daughter of Luther and Flossie Freeman Gee, and she was a lifetime McCurtain County resident. Birge was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church, Idabel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by two daughters, Alice Birge and Karen Birge; by a brother, Cleveland Birge; by a sister, Etta Fay Reich; and by a brother-in-law.
Survivors include her husband, Norman Birge, Broken Bow; a son Thomas D. Birge, Broken Bow; a daughter and son-in-law, Misty and Jacob Tunnell, Broken Bow; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Tom and Donnetta Gee and J.L. Gee, all of Oklahoma City; and Delton Gee, Mustang; a sister, Cynthia Riggle, Ponca City; and one grandchild.
