A Home going service for Jo Ann Edwards will be Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Apostolic Faith Chapel in Gilbert, LA at 2 pm. The service will be officiated by Bro. James Harris, Bro. Virgil Harris, and Bro. Clay Nichols. Interment will follow at South Central Cemetery in Wisner, LA, under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 5 pm until 9 pm at the church.
Mrs. Edwards was born on Wednesday, October 20, 1948 in Wisner, LA and passed away June 13, 2019 at her home. She was a member of Apostolic Faith Chapel. She was a woman that loved God and an awesome mother. Her world revolved around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Jo Ann loved to take care of those who needed help and she gave selflessly to others.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie Mason and Margie Mason.
Jo Ann is survived by her husband of 53 years Buddy Edwards of Wisner; two sons, Deon Edwards and wife Beth of Wisner and son, Bradley Shane Edwards and wife Jhanna of Winnsboro; two brothers, Willie Allen Mason, Jr. and wife Donna and brother, Edwin Dale Mason and wife Jenny; three sisters, Christine Brown and husband Greg, sister, Geneva Cupp, and sister, Deana Trahern and husband Johnny; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and special friend, Glenda Cobb.
Pallbearers will be Cole Edwards, Kyle Edwards, Lane Edwards, Tristan Trahern, Dyllen Bryan, Bryson Parker, and Logan Cupp.
