Has Paralytic Stroke While Attending Church
Mrs. Delmer Huffman, thirty-five years of age, a resident of near Mt. Zion in Wells county, died Sunday evening following a stroke of paralysis which occured while she was attending church. Besides the husband she leaves two sons, Harry and Donald.
Mrs. Delmer Huffman Dies in Wells County
John R.Roush received word yesterday of the death of his sister, Mrs. Delmer Huffman, Sunday night or Monday morning. Death occurred at the Huffman home at Mt. Zion. Mrs. Huffman had not been seriously ill so far as was known in Huntington, and news of her death came as a shock. She is survived by the husband, two sons and two brothers, Mr. Roush and Alva Colbert of Mt. Zion.

Berzetta Belle Colbert Huffman, daughter of Lonzo and Mahaly E. Colbert was born near Mt. Zion, Indiana, June 22, 1876, and departed this life at her home near the place of her birth, on April 17, 1921, aged forty-four years, nine months and twenty-five days. In the year 1896, December 31, the deceased was united in marriage with Delmart[sic-Delmar] L. Huffman. To this union were born two sons, Don and Harry. In the year 1903 the deceased was converted and united with the United Brethren Church, at Mt. Zion, which relation she faithfully and loyally retained until she was suddenly called home. In the sudden and unexpected death of Sister Huffman the community has lost one of her most loved and respected members, but one of her most useful members. Time alone, with the aid of an infinite God, can fill the place made vacant in the church. But sadder still is the lovely home made sad by her sudden departure. The last word she uttered on earth was in public prayer at church where she was stricken and lived less than two hours. She leaves to mourn, a devoted husband, two sons, Don and Harry, just coming into young manhood, one brother, Mr. Alva Colbert, one half brother, Mr. John Roush , and a great host of relatives, friends and neighbors, who all feel keenly their great loss in this sad hour. We would if we could, enter into the fullest degree of sympathy with the bereft family, but we are sure there is none so able to meet the needs of this sad hour as He that promised to be a Father to the children and a husband to the widow. The funeral services were conducted from the home church at Mt. Zion, in the presence of perhaps the largest crowd of mourning friends and neighbors ever assembled at the Mt. Zion Church. May the God of all grace care for, and bind up, all these broken hearts and bring us at last to the great reunion above. T. V. RECTOR.
