Obituary in Fentress Courier 14 May 1997. Donel Delk, age 93, husband of the late Anthia Cook Delk, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 6, 1997 at the Livingston Regional Hospital in Livingston, Tennessee. Mr. Delk was born August 17, 1903 in Fentress County, Tennessee. Survivors include two daughters, Diana Scroggins and husband Lloyd of Pall Mall, TN; five half-brothers, Duncan Delk of Nashville, Delmer Delk of Jamestown, Darvin Delk and Roger Delk, both of Maryville, TN. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, James Clifford Delk and Donald (Donnie) Delk. Funeral services were held Friday, May 9, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Chester Rhoad officiating with interment in the Upchurch Cemetery located in Pall Mall, Tennessee. Pallbearers included Duncan Delk, Dickie Dial Delk, Delmer Delk, Darvin Delk, Roger Delk and Lloyd Scroggins. Mundy Funeral Hme of Jamestown was in charge of services.
