Abstracted from The Algoma Record Herald, Friday, March 7, 1919
Born on August 8th in the province of Pommern, Germany. Came with his parents to America when about six years of ago and the family settled near Cooperstown, Manitowoc County. He later moved to Casco. About 1879 he returned to Cooperstown and was married to Miss Bertha Uecker.
Survived by three daughters who lived in this vicinity: Mrs. Henry Wessel, Mrs. August Moede, and Mrs. William Schneider.
