AUGUST 24, 1945 ~ OCTOBER 20, 2018 (AGE 73)
Bonnie Meadows Comer, 73, of Stanley, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018.
She was born on Aug. 24, 1945, in Mount Jackson and was a daughter of the late Clarence George Meadows and Mamie Blanche Jenkins Meadows.
Bonnie worked as a seamstress at Wrangler for 35 years, retiring in 2002. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Stanley.
On April 17, 1965, she married Charles Albert Comer, who survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Karin Ann Cave of Shenandoah, and Kimberly Dawn Thompson of Harrisonburg; three sisters, Darlene Buracker and Sheryl Gray, both of Stanley, and Brenda Grimsley of Shenandoah; three grandchildren, Brittany Shifflett, Brooklyn Gum and M. “Chase” Wolf; and two great-grandchildren, Michael Shifflett and Avery Shifflett. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis E. and Richard A. Meadows; and a sister, Sylvia Propes.
A funeral service was conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at the Fellowship Baptist Church by the Rev. Donnie Sherfey, with visitation prior to the service.
Burial was in the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
