Mrs. Elliott was born December 28, 1914, in Milano, Texas, to the late Ibra Terry Wornick and Lilly Pearl Pennington Wornick. She passed away on May 15, 2019 in Troup, TX.

She moved to East Texas in late 1918, with her family and eventually moved to a small farm just outside of Troup, off the Wright City Road (now FM 15) in the early 1920's. After working for her sister (Jewel) in cafes in Houston and Pasadena during World War II she began work at Pasadena State Bank. Marrying, George Alton Elliott, Sr., May 15, 1948, she became a housewife for a few years, had a son and then resumed working, this time at San Jacinto State Bank for 27 years until retirement in 1982. She then moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado to be near her son's family, but returned to Pasadena in 1989 where she lived until 1997, when she moved back to Troup with her son, purchasing property on FM 15 not far from the farm where she grew up.
