Troup Woman Dies; Has 139 Descendants

TROUP -- Mrs. Lillie Pearl Wornick, 92-year-old Troup ancestor of 139 persons, died at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday in Troup after a long illness.

Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Friday in Forester Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Lynn Ashcraft and the Rev. Billy Jack Grimes officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Wornick, a Troup resident since 1917, was a member of the Henry's Chapel First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Gerald W. Wornick of Pasadena, Tex., and Auther L. Wornick of Silsbee; five daughters, Mrs. Grace Tennison and Mrs. Lula B Martin, both of Troup, Mrs. Della Melton of Houston, Mrs. Gladys Hall of New Summerfield, and Mrs. Clidell Elliott of Pasadena, Tex.; 48 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
